I've always loved books. I can remember when I was very young I used to have a book that had a great smell to it. I know that sounds crazy and maybe it was but every now and then I get a book that has that same smell and it takes me right back to being a child. The first author that I loved was Hans Christian Anderson. The Fir Tree is till one of my all time favorite stories.
In later years I fell hard for Charles Dickens just about everything he wrote I love. Shakespeare took over years later and still holds a top spot with me.
I'm still in a funk that Borders my favorite book store went out of business I love spending time in book stores and just going over the shelves and searching out that book that makes me want to pick it up and read right through. Reading a book is a simple way to be someone else as the story unfolds.
Step into a new world or place that your mind and the words help to bring to life.
