From the looks of this book's cover I should have enjoyed it very much but sadly to say looks can be deceiving.

The story just never "hooked me" in. I knew it was based on a fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson, who is one of my all time favorite writers so I thought if I could just keep reading it that the story would turn around for me. It did not.

The story is about The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Their love for dance is used against them by a dark and evil Prince, or I think that is what he was. He is known by the name of Keeper.

At first he is genius and kind, allowing the young princesses to dance at his home but little do they know he has his mind set on keeping them there for good.

The story was a mixture of fairytale and ghost story with magic mixed in. All things that I enjoy reading about but they just never came together well for me in this book.

Very slow moving and the parts that I guess are considered a love story just never measured up to me. All and all, I am glad I'm done with this book and could not recommend it to anyone to read.

I wish I felt differently about it but there it is.
