PERSUASION

I really enjoyed reading this book. Getting back into the CLASSICS. Jane Austen is a master at writing a love story and she did not disappoint me with this book.
What would you do if you were a young woman who wanted to marry a man that your trusted advisers did not see as a good fit for you? He was not established, had grand ideas of what his life could be but as yet was just starting out. Trying to "make his mark " as it were. Would you listen to your well meaning family and put off the engagement?
Well, that is what Anne Elliot did and lived to regret it!
But, if love is true and strong it can stand the test of time and come back to you richer and deeper than it was when you thought you lost it.
Just as this story has stood the test of time.
"You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own, than when you almost broke it eight years and a half ago."

WITHER

This book wasted no time getting my attention. From the first page I wanted to know who, when, why, and where.
That makes for a great introduction. I read on and was really not disappointed with any part of this book. The main characters are all interesting and the world that the author paints is eerie and beautiful all at the same time.
Rhine the lead character in this story is 16. You might think that is young only in this new-aged world females only live to be 20 and males to 25. If that is not bad enough girls are often kidnapped to become wives for men who want to try and keep their bloodline going as long as they possible.
Rhine along with Jenna and Cecily are three wives to one powerful lonely man. They live like sisters in a mansion where everything is perfect but nothing is real. Rhine wants out before her life runs out first.

GET THEE TO A NUNNERY!
That is what Hamlet says to Ophelia but what a story she has to tell before she does so. Lisa Klein
takes the Ophelia you may have read about in Shakespeare's play and breathes new life into her in this story.
I really enjoyed this new Ophelia her passion for life and her love for Hamlet unfolds in this book in a way that makes you want to keep reading until you turn the last page. I must say, that Shakespeare is one of my all-time favorite writers so this book was my cup of tea for sure but even if you have not read the play I think you will have no trouble enjoying this book. If fact for some people who find it hard to understand Shakespeare this book might be just the place for you to start.
Ophelia is smart, honest and cleaver someone you will be cheering for till the end.
This is the first book I have read by Lisa Klein and her first book published. I will be reading more from her for sure.
